Saturday 9th September – bike ** Two rivers, Orwell to the Deben – sunny, still and very hot!

Heatwave records continue to be broken with yet another sunny, still and very hot day, way too hot fo us!!! So being a weekend when the seafront will be heaving Mag and I had a lovely quiet morning in our peaceful little garden, I did my exercises slowly while Mag pottered. We then had lunch in the garden before I made a flask and depite the heat we set off on our bikes, through Langer Park and down to the old pier at Landguard, loads of people on the beach behind us too! The tide was low, the Orwell flat calm in the light airs with several yachts out, we enjoyed our cuppa but way too hot so headed back though the reserve, Mag avoids the crowds while I take the prom all the way to Felixstowe Ferry and I have neve seen so many people on the beach, in the sea and out on paddle boards! I really can’t see peoples obsession with crowds they are certainly not for us! Certainly quiete at Felixstowe Ferry, watched the ferry cross to Bawdsey before taking the shortest oute home. At least one more really hot day but no wind coming fo days:(
